Počátky Laboratoře genomické medicíny AGEL Gen sahají do roku 2005, kdy se tehdejší pracovníci začali zabývat analýzou DNA a prováděním testů založených na analýze lidské DNA. V současnosti jsme jedním z mála pracovišť na Slovensku, které provádí komplexní genetické a genomické analýzy širokého spektra genetických onemocnění a genetických predispozic ve vlastním akreditovaném laboratorním zařízení. Kromě toho se věnujeme provádění testů otcovství, soudně-znaleckých DNA testů a genografických DNA testů původu. Vzorky DNA nikam neodesíláme, veškeré analýzy provádíme v našem laboratorním zařízení a jsou u nás v naprostém bezpečí.

Laboratoř genomické medicíny AGEL Gen je akreditována Slovenskou národní akreditační službou (SNAS) jako zdravotnická laboratoř podle normy ČSN EN ISO 15189:2022 a je způsobilá provádět laboratorní diagnostiku v lékařské genetice a medicínské genomice. Mezi základní používané metody patří RT-PCR, fragmentační analýza, Sangerovo sekvenování, NGS a další.
